Places to Visit
We work closely with the Tourist Information Centres in Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance and Sale and we have available a large range or tourist information including brochures and maps.
We can talk to you about all the local places that are “must see” and “must do” attractions within the East Gippsland Region.
As we have travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas, we are able to pass on advice and information if required. |

Things to do and see …
- Maybe a walking tour of Bairnsdale would suit you first, we will provide a free map.
- Visit renowned St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church beautifully painted murals and figures
- Indigenous history can be traced at the Krowathunkooloong Keeping Place, Bataluk Cultural Trail and the Den of Nargun
- Talk a walk down the walking track along the Mitchell River, just across the road from Travellers Rest
- Perhaps a cruise on the renowned Gippsland Lakes
- Bicycle the Rail Trail, the start being just one kilometre away
- Skiing or bushwalking along the magnificent 90 Mile Beach
- The snowfields of Mt Hotham are only 2 hours away on the Great Alpine Way
- Fishing in the Gippsland Lakes
- A visit to one of our Award winning wineries is a must
- Spend some time fishing in rivers or lakes
- Visit the Bairnsdale Clock Museum.. add link here please… the largest clock museum in the Southern Hemisphere. Don’t forget to see the incredible Monks Clock and learn about it’s origins.
- Or just a spot of shopping in our lovely rural town with all shops, including supermarkets just a stroll away
